How did the programming of fear take hold so easily?
How did Social Distancing, Isolation and MASKS 'FIT' the psychology of Stanley Milgram (Milgram Experiment 2020-22), Solomon Asch (ASCH 2022) and Curt Richter (Richter 2022).

Let us first take a breath and explore Masks, Faceshields and what happens when CO2 builds up in the body.

MASKS.

From Alberta, Canada to the UK. COVID protocols are worse than ever for those in Care Homes. Just because you personally are not impacted, does not mean the insanity of 2020 is over.

MaskOff.
And mandatory Continious Masking is only two sneezes away
An outbreak of 2 possible cases and all hell breaks loose again.
- Testing of patients (by uninformed consent) EVERY DAY (even if no symptoms are present)
- Masks, Goggles and more (and even NO ACCESS) for visitors.
- ANYONE (patient, resident, visitor, DSP) who has (or has had in the last 10 days) a cough, sore throat, or runny nose during allergy season
- BANNED FROM AHS and associated facilities and/or forced to wear a mask. - DURING ALLERGY SEASON!

Masks for Patients, residents or visitors
"5. When is a patient, resident or visitor required to mask?
• In alignment with guidance from Alberta Health, patients, residents and visitors who are symptomatic or have recently had a respiratory illness are required to mask if they have experienced respiratory symptoms in the previous 10 days.

"guidance from Alberta Health"
YOUR GOVERNMENT!
https://alberta.ca/coronavirus-info-for-albertans.aspx
Had a 'respiratory symptom' - you are now REQUIRED to wear a mask for 10 days (or more) in AHS or related facilities.
In 3 1/2 years CARE HOME RESIDENTS have NEVER been REQUIRED to wear a mask. NOW THEY ARE!

With HCS-267 now being removed from access - THERE ARE NO DIRECTIONS FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE UNABLE TO WEAR A MASK.

The bait and switch at its worst.
Driven by the Government of Alberta and implemented by AHS.

Have you heard it said...

“I'm educated enough to know that I could be asymptomatic and still give you the virus.”
"YOUR Mask protects ME and MY Mask protects YOU.

You always wear a certified faceshield over your mask as that protects you from asymptomatic people. You insist everyone around you does the same, don't you?

However,
You only wear the mask when 'asymptomatic'.
Because, if you are sick you would be isolating at home and not putting people at risk.
If you think you MAY be asymptomatic and carrying a deadly infectious respiratory disease, why are you out?

I am smart enough to know..[LINK]
If you think the mask is what is saving people, do you wear it 24x7?
When old or vulnerable people are around.
When around anyone with an invisible disability i.e. COPD, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Heart Condition, Diabetes etc?
When in a Care Home? (Unless you are a resident as they never wore masks inside. Why was that?)
When in a Care Home? (Unless this one doesn't have a masking policy - COVID knows to avoid them!)
When you are at home with those you love most?
When you are eating or drinking in public?
When you are shopping?
When you are around other people everywhere you go?
Even when you are told you can take it off, you don't because 'YOU MAY BE ASYMPTOMATIC'?
You never forget to wear it as that would endanger people around you, do you?
You never touch it other than as per the manufacturers' instructions to don and doff, do you?

If you take it off because it is damp or soiled (ususally within 30 minutes or less as per OH&S regulations), you dispose of it appropriately as a biohazard (it has your germs on it) and put on a fresh one, don't you?
You never wear a faceshield on its own because a faceshield cannot be used in place of a mask. You know that a faceshield only protects the wearer (from splashes potentially), not other people.
However, you have never stopped to ask why Costco etc. and AHS offer faceshields as an alternative (that do not protect others). WHO cares about a deadly virus in those places? You just do as you are told.
You would never wear a 'fashion' mask or other uncertified face covering because that wouldn't be safe or protect anyone.
You would never wear a mask that has any gaps aorund the edge, that fogged up glasses or allowed a virus to escape from the sides.
You would never wear a mask over an unshaven face that creates gaps around the edge or allowed a virus to escape from the sides either.
That would be the same risk as a vented mask which Health Canada says provides NO PROTECTION TO OTHERS.

Masks give you headaches, rash, acne, skin breakdown, and impaired cognition but that is totally acceptable because you are wearing one for the greater good, even though you don't know if they work or not.
You are fully trained on the use and handling (including safe disposal) of masks from watching YouTube videos, listening to politicians, undisputed experts and Facebook posts.

YOU ARE A HERO SAVING LIVES - A VERITABLE MASKED AVENGER...

Truth vs. Narrative. Bursting their bubble.

Health Canada Mask Advice. Do not use masks or respirators with exhalation valves. Masks with exhalation valves or vents allow infectious respiratory particles to spread outside the mask. These masks do not protect others from COVID-19 or limit the spread of the virus.

OR ARE YOU?

Dr. Bonnie Henry January 13th, 2023.
"So everybody wearing masks is not going to make a tremendous difference in the transmission of these viruses because we transmit them in those situations. When we're at home, when we're with we're, we're, when we're with friends, when we're doing social things that are important in our lives where we don't wear masks and it's still allowed, this allows these viruses to transmit."

MaskCON, MaskCOUGH... which is it, Bonnie!?

Uncertified Masks/Respirators
BE(A)WARE! of NON CERTIFIED 'N95' masks with or without plastic windows.
N95 respirators are governed by OH&S and Canadian Biosafety regulations (see below).
Using an unapproved Type 1 Medical device [by use or by design] is an offence under these regulations and can lead to prosecution, fines and closure of a premises.
If it has no NIOSH stamp, it is unlikely to be certified.
Even if certified, the use of these devices requires an up-to-date FIT test.
And remember if it is being 'forceably recommended' (coerced) for use as an alternate to an N95 or greater, it is a Type 1 medical device 'by use', if not by design.
Is the Mask FIT? The four aspects of a risk assessment.

1. FIT for Purpose
Has the mask or face covering been proven to be "FIT FOR PURPOSE" i.e. to prevent the spread of an airborne virus? The answer is most likely NO as there is no generally available mask or face covering certified to do this. What does the manufacturer of the mask or face covering state this device is capable of doing? If it does not meet the requirement by design or by use, of a viral suppressing medical intervention respirator/mask, then it is not fit for purpose.

2. Is the person FIT to wear the mask?
Have you confirmed you (or your staff/customer) will not experience any harmful effects related to the mask or face covering?

3. Is it FIT to the person?
Even if you have moved through the first two processes, any mask or face covering has to be properly FITTED to you to ensure it works for point 1, and doesn't cause issues for point 2.

4. Is it FIT for the environment?
As a mask can be taken off in many circumstances in the same environment i.e. when eating, drinking, regular breaks etc. and there is no separation of atmosphere between the mask wearing and non-mask wearing areas, the risk is not environmental. So, what is the risk?

Health Canada
"SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, spreads from an infected person to others through respiratory droplets and aerosols created when an infected person coughs, sneezes, sings, shouts, or talks."
https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/2019-novel-coronavirus-infection/health-professionals/main-modes-transmission.html

Are you wearing (or being required to wear) a KN95 respirator in Canada?
Apart from the issues mentioned here (NIOSH stamp, FIT Test, CO2 build up, not fit for purpose etc.)
Did you know that KN95 respirators are an inferior (usually uncertified) version of the N95?
Although initially allowed (improperly) in the early part of 2020, most KN95 masks/respirators are not to be used in Canada.

"Important information about KN95 medical respirators"
https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/services/drugs-health-products/covid19-industry/medical-devices/personal-protective-equipment/medical-masks-respirators/authorization.html

Health Canada and Copping.

"The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a revised guidance on May 7, 2020. The revised guidance indicates that certain filtering face-piece respirators, including KN95 medical respirators from China, may not provide adequate respiratory protection. Learn more about the new guidance."
(https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/letters-health-care-providers/certain-filtering-facepiece-respirators-china-may-not-provide-adequate-respiratory-protection-letter)

And 'modifying' or misusing (not as per the manufacturer's guidelines) will render that device potentially dangerous.
Why is OH&S in Alberta NOT INVESTIGATING the Alberta Government and AHS for this?

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that indoor air quality guidelines for CO2 be set at a maximum of 1,000 ppm to protect against potential negative health effects.

Health Canada reported concerns with exposure to concentrations above 800 ppm.
https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/hc-sc/documents/programs/consultation-residential-indoor-air-quality-guidelines-carbon-dioxide/consultation-residential-indoor-air-quality-guidelines-carbon-dioxide.pdf
Page 3:
"...some studies of prolonged or repeated exposure to CO2 explored exposure concentrations relevant to Canadian indoor environments. For example, mucous membrane or respiratory symptoms (e.g., eye irritation, sore or dry throat, stuffy, congested or runny nose, sneezing, and coughing) were more likely to be reported by individuals exposed to CO2 concentrations > 800 ppm than individuals exposed to lower CO2 levels"

"Associations between increasing CO2 concentration, starting at 1,000 ppm (or decreased ventilation rate where that was the metric) and decreased performance in school or office settings (e.g., decision-making, task performance, standardized test scores) have also been observed."

https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/services/publications/healthy-living/carbon-dioxide-home.html#health
"Health effects of CO2
tiredness, headache, eye irritation, sore or dry throat, dizziness or difficulty concentrating, stuffy, congested or runny nose, sneezing, coughing and rhinitis"

"Allen et al. (2016) found ventilation rate and CO2 concentration to be independently associated with cognitive test performance and reported that on average a 400 ppm increase in CO2 (from a background concentration of 550 ppm) was associated with a 21% decrease in a typical participant's test score. Furthermore, effects on decision-making or task performance were observed for exposures to CO2 concentrations > 1000 ppm relative to 600 ppm in studies conducted under controlled conditions (i.e., pure CO2 injected into a laboratory or chamber) (Satish et al. 2012)"

In the following video produced by an Alberta Health and Safety expert, all masks/respirators/face shields (other than the P100 front vent respirator) exceeded Health Canada, OH&S and WHO safety guidelines for CO2 inhalation within less than 1 minute.

Environmental CO2 in room during tests = 800 ppm (baseline)
CO2 exposure while wearing a mask.
  1. Close fitting cloth face mask = 27,000 ppm (less than 1 minute)

  2. Unvented N95 respirator/face mask = 24,000 ppm (less than 1 minute)

  3. Triple layer (blue) medical procedural type face mask = 20,000 ppm (less than 1 minute)

  4. Face Shield (no mask) = 3,400 ppm (less than 1 minute)

  5. Fitted P100 respirator with front vent = 800 - 900 ppm (continuous use)

Now ask yourself why the only mask BANNED during COVID was a respirators with a vent!

From the World Health Organization (WHO), to Health Canada the negative impacts of CO2 exposure are well studied and acknowledged.

Increased carbon dioxide (CO2) exposure can potentially cause a range of symptoms including shortness of breath, headache, dizziness, fatigue, and nausea. In severe cases, high levels of CO2 in the body can lead to hypercapnia like symptoms such as headaches, impaired vision, shortness of breath, drowseness, respiratory stimulation, increased blood pressure and heart rate, confusion, impaired judgment, and changes in behavior and mental function.

High levels of CO2 over longer periods can lead to Immediate Dangerous to Life or Health (ILDH).
There is some evidence that high levels of CO2 in the environment can affect mental performance and decision-making, potentially leading to increased fear and panic.

KN95, close fitting medical and non medical masks reach 15 minute NIOSH exposure levels within 1 minute
KN95, close fitting medical and non medical masks reach SIX TIMES 8 hour NIOSH exposure levels within 1 minute
KN95, exceed 24 hour safe exposure limits within 1 minute

CO2 - Hiding behind the masks - The Bohr effect.
For all the doctors and 'reseearcher's putting out videos showing them wearing masks and measuring their sp)2 levels... this is why they should never be in charge of masking.
spO2 CANNOT detect CO2 even at dangerous levels. In Fact increadsed CO2 will stabalise the O2 reading on an sp02 meter.

The pulse oximetry gap in carbon monoxide intoxication
"Oxygen saturation as measured by pulse oximetry failed to decrease to less than 96% despite COHb levels as high as 44%. Regression between the pulse oximetry gap and COHb suggests that pulse oximetry overestimates O2Hb by the amount of COHb present. Pulse oximetry is unreliable in estimating O2Hb saturation in CO-exposed patients and should be interpreted with caution when used to estimate oxygen saturation in smokers."

AND MASK WEARERS

The pulse oximetry gap in carbon monoxide intoxication
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/8037391/
"This is because CO2 molecules can attach to a person's hemoglobin and successfully imitate oxygen molecules. A pulse oximeter can't tell the difference between these molecules, meaning you'll receive a combined carbon dioxide/oxygen saturation reading rather than just measuring oxygen his is because CO2 molecules can attach to a person's hemoglobin and successfully imitate oxygen molecules. A pulse oximeter can't tell the difference between these molecules, meaning you'll receive a combined carbon dioxide/oxygen saturation reading rather than just measuring oxygen (Shippy et al.)."

Capnography And Pulse Oximetry
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK539754/
"In the presence of elevated carboxyhemoglobin levels, pulse oximetry overestimates the true saturation of oxygen as carboxyhemoglobin binds with a higher affinity than oxygen. In the case of carbon monoxide poisoning, the absorbance spectrum of carbon monoxide is very similar to hemoglobin, which results in a falsely high level of oxygen (overestimation of oxygen saturation)"

Studies on Masks, CO2 and FEAR (2009-2022)
The knowledge of the amygdala being a chemoreceptor for CO2 and fear is long known and well studied.
Now are you starting to understand the risks related to 'face coverings' worn 'as prescribed' during COVID? It is NOT about SAFETY!

WHY IS OH&S NOT INVESTIGATING THIS?

AHS 'accessible' options!
Face Shields cannot be used without a mask, as per the AHS MASK Mandate. Yet AHS show 2 of the 3 options being a face shield!
The mask looks like a 3M folded N95. Yet is described as a Procedural Medical Mask. It fails both by design and materials.
Manufactured in Montreal (Alberta $$$ to QB). Mask not on approved devices under Health Canada. Yet AHS is ordering them!
Due to the unique design, these 'masks' cannot be considered under the ASTM F2100 'breathability' and MUST meet the NIOSH standards for 'Airflow resistance'.
They would carry a NIOSH stamp if they did. They don't.
They need to be stored at low temperature (but ASTM F2100 requires fire retardant material).
The 'Certified' moniker appears due to material used, not design or actual use.
These devices are not fit for purpose. As per Health Canada, NIOSH and OH&S standards.

After pointing out to AHS, the Premier and Patient Relations that these masks were NOT CERTIFIED, AHS updated their document.
THESE MASKS ARE NOT SAFE TO USE AND AHS THINKS ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS EDIT A DOCUMENT TO HIDE THE FACT THAT THEY ARE NOT CERTIFIED!!!
This CLEARLY SHOWS MALICIOUS INTENT.

NOT AN N95 and NOT A MEDICAL MASK - SO WHAT IS IT?
It is certainly UNCERTIFIED and no longer even listed for sale by the Mainland China manufacturer (who also make uncertified ear loop design KN95 masks).

NOT FIT FOP PURPOSE

TRANSPARENT MASKS ARE NOT MEDICAL MASKS - SO WHAT IS IT?
Would you listen to these people?

IT HAS TO BE TESTED AS A FILTERING FACEPIECE RESPIRATOR (FFR) - IT WOULD FAIL!

RULES FOR THEE BUT NOT FOR ME!!!
Staff can now take off the masks (when the public can't see them)!!!

AHS Hidden Video of Masking Children.
Yet the video on modifying an adult mask for children and infants at 7.1b) IS STILL THERE!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaDKF5HK5hU&vl=en

The discrimination continues in public, but behind closed doors. Like the care homes. OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND!!!

What is even more concerning is that AHS had created their own video on modifying adult masks for children but it was placed in a link in a document and unlisted on YouTube so it could not be found.
Why would they do that? What were they afraid of? A breach of OH&S regulations maybe!

And while all of this was happening (and continues) in Care Homes in Alberta...
Capital Care and AHS undetook their largest ever construction project.

That project was opened on 28th March 2023 in the greatest presentation of hypocrisy to date.

A complaint/letter to the Premier, Capital Care and AHS Patient Relations has been sent March 31st, 2023.

How it all started... A plan to end all plans.
The true results of this experiment are far more terrifying to contemplate.
My first article was entitled The Best Laid Plans for a reason.
It was a reference to John Steinbeck's novel, 'Of MICE and MEN'.
In this, we see the tragic and unintended consequences of being 'kind' and 'keeping people safe'.
